My book of Tando, Session 6

Have you ever thought of using a brayer on Tando Chippie?   Neither had I but putting this book together gave me the opportunity to try all sorts of different things including big and juicy with a brayer

First of all stamped on a bear 6" square sheet of Tando Chipboard.   These stamps are from Stamping Up stamped with Memento ink.

Started to colour the page using Big and Juicy ink and the brayer.   If you have seen Barbara Gray on television you'll have seen the method used here.  Loaded the brayer with ink and then run it over paper to take the top coat off.    The end of the brayer is run over paper several times to soften the edge.   Starting in the corner the brayer is repeatedly run over the page moving down each time.

The brayer needed ink adding and the first coat swipe was done over another Tando sheet, You'll see that next time.

Continue with the brayer until have the Tando sheet is coloured and then using another Big and Juicy pad repeat all the steps again working up the sheet to meet the first colour in the middle.

Tando Block Flourish coloured gold with Inka Gold and foam 'brush'.

Once the Flourish was fully coloured a sentiment from the same Stampin' up set was used with Memento ink.

This time the bird has been used without a branch! and was coloured with Pro Markers.

Before the flourish and bird were stuck onto the page it was given a quick blase with Glimmer Mist Iridescent Gold.   A strip of raffia stuck along the bottom of the page.

For the reverse side a Creative Expression's Box Stamp has been inked with Versamark (Dazzle was nearest to hand) and embossed with gold embossing powder.

Repeated the stamp and embossing either side of the  first impression.   Everything on the page coloured with Promarkers.

Another page where the finished result surprised and pleased me.   So easy to just colour it with the solvent pens the Tando just takes it.

If you are following along with these and making your own book or using the techniques on Tando in other ways?   If you are would love to see what you have been doing and how it looks be great if you share it below.

  1. Oooh, the Promarkers work really well on the greyboard - I wouldn't have expected that! Fab page again, Zoe!

  2. Thanks Joanne, had not expected such a great result with the Promarkers either. Another colouring method to use again and again. XOXO Zoe
